This summer we have the honor of having our summer camps hosted by The Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. This affords us access to their wonderful facilities to bring our students professional theater training in a safe environment.

Welcome to Theater

In this introductory class, students will explore character creation and storytelling which is at the heart of acting for the stage. They will experience a wide variety of activities focused on introducing basic theater concepts such as ensemble, actor's tools, sharing the stage, dialogue, and action! This class introduces the young actor to a variety of techniques within the world of theater.

Introduction to Acting

Students explore character creation and storytelling which is at the heart of acting for the stage. Using a variety of techniques, students will play with improvisation, team building, and full body expression to tell stories.

Create-a-Play

This class affords young actors the chance to wear many theatrical hats: playwright, collaborator, actor, and designer. Students jump into the world of storytelling as they develop an original play. They work to create dynamic characters with clear objectives, solve problems creatively, and perform their final product. Students work together to create sets and characterizations that support their imagination as their words become reality. Class culminates in a sharing of our original play for family and friends!

Improv and Imagination

mprovisation is a team sport! In this class young actors explore the fun and exciting tool actor's use to create characters and stories for the stage. Experience the joy of creative risk taking and discover your confidence in this energetic look at long form improv, improvisational sports, and theater!
