Compass Rose Theater announces its first New Play Festival! The festival will feature staged readings of new plays by both student and professional playwrights. The plays presented include a play about bullying by a Compass Rose student Hannah Geib, a play by professional playwright Mark Scharf, a play for children about a dog by local playwright Dan Baum, a keynote address and reception with Lee Blessing, renowned playwright and author of the final play of our season, Eleemosynary, and life story readings by seven local writers. Each reading will be followed by a question and answer session with the playwright.
