Youth Acting and Improv (11-14)

Description

Students will learn improvisation is a fun team sport! In this class, students will explore the fun and accessible tools actors utilize to create characters and develop relationships for the stage. In addition, students will experience the joy of creative risk-taking and discover newfound confidence and appreciation for the fearless actor. Class will also include a more in-depth study of staying in the moment as actors experiment with long-form improv and theatre sports. Classes are taught by accredited teachers with a B.A. or Master's degree in theater who have teaching experience and work in the professional theater world. Class culminates in a presentation to family.
